French and Portuguese translations

Up to date translation files for French and Portuguese/Brazilian are available on sourceforge files.
They are named lang_fr.qm for French and lang_pt_BR.qm for Portuguese.
After downloading them, they must be copied into i18n folder.
On Windows it should be c:\Program Files\Luminance HDR\i18n, on Linux usually the right directory is /usr/share/luminance-hdr/i18n.

One must restart the application after those files have been copied.

New macOS/OS X build

In the previous DMG images for macOS/OS X the align_image_stack binary has its executable bit not set which means aligning images with this engine does not work in Luminance HDR.
We provide a new build that fix this issue. It can be downloaded from the link below.  Setting the exec bit running chmod +x /Applications/Luminance\ HDR\ 2.5.1.app/Contents/MacOS/align_image_stack also fixes the issue.

Luminance HDR 2.5.1

Luminance HDR 2.5.1 is out!

This is essentially a bugfixing release with some minor enhancements.
All issues related to highlights clipping and artifacts  when creating HDRs have been addressed and fixed for all profiles.

The small new features:

  • Selectable threshold for adjusting levels
  • Optional Lanczos interpolation
  • Antialiased display of images
  • Navigation of images in fullscreen
  • Online Documentation
  • Our friends using Mac OS X/macOS can find once again a pre-compiled DMG image ready to download and run.

Minimum requirement for Luminance HDR is a CPU that supports SSE2.

For Mac OS X/macOS users, Luminance HDR is compatible with Mac OS X 10.9 (El Capitan) or later versions.

**A new build that fixes an issue with align_image_stack on macOS has been uploaded. Mac users will get the updated image from the link below as usual.

    Luminance HDR 2.0.2-pre1

A pre release of Luminance HDR 2.0.2 is out. It is stable and reliable but could contain undiscovered bugs, that’s why you should download and test it before the official release of 2.0.2.

You can download using these links:

    [ Windows (32-bit) ]
    [ Mac OS X (32-bit, Intel) ]
    [ Source Code ]

I also made available an rpm for Fedora 12 x86_64 and a src.rpm for the same distribution.

Thanks to Davide Anastasia’s work, it is more stable and faster than ever. It has also more options for RAW conversion thanks to libraw which is now used in place of dcraw.

Please download and test it. If you spot a bug, we will appreciate a bug report on the Tracker that indicates version of Luminance, OS and the exact list of steps to replicate the behaviour.

Update (08/Dic/2010): A new Mac OS X build is available. The previous one was not working correctly with Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.x. Enjoy!
